Big Tech Accountability

Gentle entry, a slow on-ramp

Come in at your own pace.

Accountability work can feel like a wall of citations, and a wall is not an invitation. So this is a quieter door. Make one honest prediction, then check it against the public record. The gap between your guess and the record is the useful part; that gap is where a judgment gets sharper. Nothing here rushes you, and nothing here is decided for you.

This is what the human in the loop actually means to us. Not a person rubber-stamping a machine, but a person kept in the cycle on purpose: predict, check the record, adjust, in the open. The short exercise below runs that cycle once, on a small scale, so you can feel the shape of it before you go deeper. When you are ready, the doors at the end lead to the live signals we watch, the investigation itself, and the notebook where the reasoning is written down.

Fence. This family is a working hypothesis on an attainable path toward General Natural Intelligence, natural, not artificial. The evidence is growing, evidence-classed, and tested in the open. Do not take the claim on faith: make your prediction, open the receipts, and tell us where the record does not hold.

Why we keep a human in the loop

A prediction that is never checked is just a belief, and a belief that never adjusts is just a habit. The loop is the antidote. You predict, the record answers, and a person decides what to do with the difference. No step of that is automated away here, because the judgment is the point.

The four moves

  • predict, commit to a guess before the evidence, so the surprise is real
  • check the record, open the primary document, not a summary of it
  • adjust, let the gap move your estimate, name what changed
  • in the open, the receipts stay linkable, corrections stay logged

What this exercise does not do

It does not grade you, score you, or keep what you typed. It is a felt sense of the loop, not a test. When you leave through one of the doors, you land on the same public surfaces anyone else sees: the live signals at Transparency, the investigation on the overview, and the notebook of working essays. Same record, same queries, in the open.

A different way in

Choose a way in

The Gentle Entry loop is the same loop no matter who you are. The invite is different because the way in is different. Pick one that matches how you would come in.
